Pianists at Play is a compelling two-piano concert featuring the Memorial University piano studio alongside their instructor, Dr. Madeline Hildebrand, offering a welcoming glimpse into the artistry, versatility, and collaborative spirit of its student musicians. Centred on Camille Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals, brought to life with narration featuring Joe Argentino, the program unfolds as a vivid musical “menagerie” for two pianos, framed by the imaginative world of Amy Beach’s Grandmother’s Garden and the rhythmic brilliance of Gershwin’s Three Preludes.
